Amid the strong rumours of the Redmi Note 10 launch, we now hear that Xiaomi may announce new phones in its previous Redmi Note 9 series in China. These phones are tipped to launch later this month and one of them is said to come with a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor that was announced in September. China’s 3C recently certified two new Redmi phones with model numbers M2007J22C and M2007J17C. While the former is expected to come with 22.5W fast-charging, the latter gets 33W charging. Both the models seem to have 5G connectivity.
Recent reports have suggested the high-end Redmi model is said to be the first Snapdragon 750G phone in China. There’s a possibility we might be looking at Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G version for the China market. Unfortunately, not much else is known about the phones at the moment, but we’ll be on the lookout for more information to surface online.
Separately, the Redmi K40 launch is expected later this year. It was recently spotted on the MIIT certification with model number M2011K2C and 5G network support. It’s rumoured the phone may come with Snapdragon 775 SoC, which is a successor to the Snapdragon 765 that is slated to debut next month alongside the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 SoC. Unfortunately, no other details about the phone are known at the moment but we expect it to bring improvements over the predecessor. Similar to the Redmi K30 series, there should be multiple variants in the Redmi K40 series.
