Realme 7 5G launch could be nearing as the phone has appeared on the NBTC certification website, MySmartPrice has spotted. It seems the device will be the global variant of the Realme V5, which released in China back in August. There has been a lot of curiosity surrounding the Realme V5 India launch, but it now seems the phone may arrive rebranded as the Realme 7 5G. The NBTC listing reveals the Realme RMX2111 model will be called the Realme 7 5G and this happens to be the same model number for the Realme V5 as well.

The NBTC certification only reveals that the RMX2111 model will be called the Realme 7 5G in Thailand and it’s safe to assume the phone will release in other parts of the world as well. The Realme 7 5G India launch could also take place soon enough. Realme does plan to bring MediaTek Dimensity-powered phones to India, starting with the Realme X7 series. MediaTek recently revealed that more Dimensity-powered phones will arrive in the country in 2021 and this could include the Realme 7 5G.

Realme 7 5G specifications should be similar to the Realme V5 if the two are essentially the same device. To recall, Realme V5 specs include a 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz display with a corner punch-hole cutout, MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset with 5G support, up to 8GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage. The Realme V5 sports a quad-camera system that includes a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The device gets a 16MP front-facing camera and runs on Android 10. Realme V5 packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging. The handset is equipped with a side fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Realme V5 price in China starts at RMB 1,499 (roughly Rs 16,000), which makes it one of the more affordable 5G phones in the market. We expect the phone to launch at a similar price in India, making 5G phones more accessible in the country.
