Realme 8 Pro has been confirmed to feature a 108MP camera at the Realme Camera Innovation Event 2021. The phone will come as a successor to the Realme 7 series from last year. Going by the announcements at the event, the handset will bring a ton of camera improvements, thanks to the company’s in-house customisations. The company has also revealed the design of the Realme 8 Pro. The handset has quad-cameras arranged in a square-shaped module along with LED flash and ‘Dare to Leap’ tagline etched on the back. There is a tiny punch-hole cutout on the top-left corner for the selfie camera and narrow bezels. Realme 8 Pro can be seen in a gradient blue colour, but we expect other options at launch.

Realme is adopting Samsung’s latest 108MP HM2 sensor with 9-in-1 pixel binning and 1/1.52″ large sensor size that is claimed to improve the image quality in low light. The ISOCELL Plus technology is said to minimize optical loss and light reflection, delivering higher colour fidelity and up to 15 percent enhancement in light sensitivity. The sensor will deliver 3x zoom, brings a new starry mode with support for timelapse video, tilt-shift and portrait mode with three new filters. The in-sensor zoom of the Realme 8 Pro uses 12MP to generate high-quality images considering it has a smaller size and the image processor is faster. This enables the phone to take eight 12MP images in a row.
