The flagship lineup is said to comprise of three models — the vanilla Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. Samsung Galaxy S21 series launch is rumoured to be scheduled for January 14th at 3PM GMT (8:30 PM Indian Standard Time), according to tipster Ishan Agarwal. The flagships are said to be available in India a few weeks after the global launch, probably by January-end. Samsung is said to be taking exclusive blind pre-orders for the Galaxy S21 series in India, where interested buyers can pre-book at the Opera House in Bengaluru by paying Rs 2,000. Select customers will get the chance to pick any model in the Galaxy S21 series on the day of India launch.
Samsung Galaxy S21 series design
According to leaked renders, the Samsung Galaxy S21 has a flat display with a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and slim bezels. It has a rectangular camera module with three lenses at the back and the module runs through the side frame. The volume rocker and power button are on the right, the USB Type-C port, speaker grille and primary microphone are at the bottom. The handset will be available in Gold, Purple, White, and Black colour options. The flagship is said to measure 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9mm and weigh 171 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus will have a similar design as the standard model’s, including the port placement. The key difference between the models could be a larger display and battery. It will come in Purple, White, and Black colour options. The Plus variant is said to measure 161.4 x 75.6 x 7.8mm and weigh 202 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, the biggest model of the lot, has curved edges at the back and gets an additional sensor at the back. However, it retains the rectangular camera module and centre-placed punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper. Unlike the regular and the Plus variants, the Ultra model will be available in Black and White colour options.

The vanilla Samsung Galaxy S21 is said to sport a 6.2-inch FHD+ Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED display that has support for Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits brightness and 421ppi pixel density.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus has a slightly bigger 6.7-inch FHD+ Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass Victus, 120Hz refresh rate, 1300nits brightness and 394 PPI.
Lastly, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has a larger 6.8-inch WQHD+ Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, 515ppi pixel density, and peak brightness of 1600nits. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is speculated to have support for Samsung’s S Pen. However, it may be sold separately or bundled only as part of a promotional offer initially.

Samsung Galaxy S21 series is said to be powered by the in-house Exynos 2100 that is scheduled to launch on January 12th. The South-Korean giant will also offer Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G model for international markets such as the US. The recently leaked Geekbench scores suggest the Exynos 2100 multi-core performance is superior to that of the Snapdragon 888 5G. All the three models are expected to boot Android 11-based OneUI 3.0 custom skin on top.

The standard Samsung Galaxy S21 is said to pack standard 8GB RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB storage options that should be expandable. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus will also be available with the same RAM + storage configuration.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will have standard 12GB RAM coupled with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB storage variants, giving users more choices.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus will have similar camera configuration. The flagships will have triple cameras comprising of a 12MP primary sensor with F/1.8 aperture, OIS and a 79-degree field of view, 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree field of view, 13mm lens, f/2.2 aperture and a 64MP telephoto lens with 3x hybrid optical zoom, auto-focus, PDAF, F/2.0 aperture, 76-degree FOV, and 28mm. For selfies and video chats, the Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus are said to have a 10MP sensor on the front with an f/2.2 lens and 80-degree of field-of-view (FoV). The rear cameras of both the phones should have 4K video recording option at 60fps.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to feature a quad-camera setup at the back with a second-generation 108MP sensor with OIS and 3X optical zoom and 10x optical “super” telephoto sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and dual 10MP sensors. For selfies and video chats, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to have a 40MP sensor with 1/2.8″ sensor and an 80-degree lens with autofocus. The rear camera can record 8K 30fps video, 4K 60fps and 1080p at 240 fps.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 is said to have a 4,000mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support, Qi wireless charging and reverse charging. The Galaxy S21 Plus is expected to have a slightly larger 4,800mAh battery, albeit with same wireless and fast-charging capabilities.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is tipped to have a 5,000mAh battery unit and is said to have support for 45W fast-charging. There are strong speculations, the Samsung Galaxy S21 series may not ship with charger bundled in the retail box package, following the suite set by Apple. The latest rumour is that Samsung may not bundle AKG tuned headphones in the box.
