Some time ago, we reported that Samsung was working on a new upper-mid-range smartphone called the Galaxy A72 5G. Among other things, it was touted to come with five rear cameras. However, that speculation may not be true, as some leaked case renders paint a somewhat different picture. The information comes from renowned Twitter leaker @Sudhanshu1414, which tell us that the smartphone will come with four rear cameras. It also tells us that the four cameras will be oriented vertically and that one of them is very likely a macro/depth sensor.

As far as the actual camera specs go, the Samsung Galaxy A72 5G may feature a 64MP sensor at the helm, assisted by an ultra-wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens. For all intents and purposes, the smartphone follows a cookie-cutter approach with its under-display fingerprint scanner, power and volume rockers on the right edge, and a headphone jack at the bottom, and a hole-punch camera nested at the centre of the screen.
Not much else is known about the Samsung Galaxy A72 5G specs. Considering that it is a high-end Galaxy A series smartphone, we can expect it to ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7xx series chipset. It is unlikely that the Galaxy A72 5G will run an Exynos 1080, as the chipset is expected to remain exclusive to the Chinese market for some time. Other than that, we can expect it to feature a high refresh rate AMOLED screen, support fast charging, and even OIS (optical image stabilisation). The Samsung Galaxy A72 5G release date is expected to be sometime in Q1 2021.
