Xiaomi is teasing a new product launch in India soon, though the company is keeping us guessing at the moment. While details about the device are under wraps, the hashtag #QuantumLeapsAhead suggests it could the Mi TV 5 Pro as it comes with a Quantum Dot Screen. The Mi TV 5 Pro launched in China back in November 2019 and will come as a successor to the Mi TV 4 series that is currently available in the country. Unfortunately, Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the Mi TV 5 Pro launch date in India just yet but the teaser suggests the product will release this month.
To recall the Mi TV 5 Pro that has launched in China is powered by the 12nm T972 chipset that is said to support 8K video playback that is claimed to be 63 percent more powerful than the previous-gen CPU. The TV is available in three screen sizes, namely 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch and flaunts a 4K QLED quantum dot display panel that covers 108 percent NTSC wide gamut. Xiaomi claims it has a no-screw design with extremely slim, 5.9mm thick frame. It supports HDR10 and MEMC motion compressor and also functions as an AIoT smart home centre. It runs on Patchwall artificial intelligence TV system and packs 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The Mi TV 5 Pro, which is expected to launch in India, packs a four-unit speaker system with a woofer and full-range speaker each in the left and right channels. The TVs has support for Dolby and DTS audio formats. While we wait for the Indian prices, the MI TV 5 Pro 55-inch price in China is RMB 3,699 (around Rs 37,300), while the 65-inch model costs RMB 4,999 (around Rs 50,400), and the 75-inch model is priced at RMB 9,999 (around Rs 1,08,030).
