HP India has announced the ‘esports Gold Quest’ scholarships at the OMEN FanFest 2020. This comes in support of the rise of PC gaming culture in India and will provide gamers with the necessary financial support, equipment, skills, and exposure to guide them to compete on the global stage and become future esports stars. HP says that it recognises the need to offer Indian talent with the right set of tools to compete on the world stage. The esports Gold Quest will select three applicants and offer them an annual scholarship worth Rs 12 lacs each, including a full sports kit from OMEN, monthly Rs 50,000 salary, and an international training stint.

HP OMEN Fest

The HP scholarship is open to Indian applicants in the 16-20 years age group and the talent hunt program for selection will start in January 2021 and final selection in June 2021. OMEN FanFest is touted to bring the biggest names in the world of esports and entertainment, including Tirth Mehta, Ulrich Schulze, Akshat Rathee, Abish Mathew, and many others. It will also feature a contest that will offer participants a chance to become the fifth member of the HP OMEN Squad. HP is also announcing the ‘OMEN Crib’, an entire gaming setup designed for the ultimate gameplay experience. The setup comprises of dual monitor desk, keyboard, headset, mouse, mousepad, speakers, and the OMEN gaming chair.
