Mi 11 launch date

Xiaomi shared a poster of the Mi 11 launch on Weibo. The poster has ’11’ written on it, which isn’t hard to relate to the Mi 11 series along with the December 28th launch date and 07:30 PM local time (05:00 PM IST). While the Mi 11 is surely expected, it isn’t clear whether the Mi 11 Pro will also tag along.

Mi 11 specs on Geekbench

As for the Mi 11 specs on Geekbench 5, the handset will come with the same Xiaomi M2011K2C model number that was previously spotted on 3C and on China’s network certification website. The phone is powered by ‘Venus’ chipset, which is expected to be the codename for Snapdragon 888 SoC, coupled with 12GB RAM and Android 11.

Talking about the results, Mi 11 scores 1,135 points in the single-core test and 3,642 points in the multi-core test, which is slightly lower than the Qualcomm reference device’s Geekbench scores

Mi 11 specifications (expected)

The Mi 11 will most likely run Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 out of the box. The handset will be 5G capable and rock the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. The Mi 11 could come with Xiaomi’s super fast 120W fast charging technology that was showcased earlier this year. Additionally, the Mi 11 will reportedly highlight a 6.7-inch AMOLED QHD+ screen with 120Hz refresh rate and a dedicated MEMC chip that can, among other things, upscale SD content to HD quality. For photography, the handset could sport triple rear cameras, comprising a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM3 Bright primary sensor paired with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5MP macro camera.

Mi 11 Pro, on the other hand, is tipped to come with a 50MP primary camera by 4-in-1 conversion and a 12MP telephoto sensor. The handset is also said to have MEMC video frame technology, real-time SDR to HDR, and video super-resolution support.
