Samsung Galaxy S21+ specifications have seemingly appeared on Geekbench this week. The phone with model number SM-G996U has been spotted on the benchmarking website with key details that don’t really come as a surprise. The motherboard section on the Geekbench has the ‘Lahaina’ codename, which is believed to be the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 octa-core processor. However, the Snapdragon 875-powered Galaxy S21 models will only be available in the US, while the Indian market is likely to receive the phones powered by the upcoming Exynos 2100 SoC.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy S21+ has managed to score 1,120 in single-core and 3,319 in multi-core benchmark, respectively. These scores are higher than the Exynos 2100-powered Galaxy S21+ that secured 1,040 in single-core and 3,107 in multi-core scores. This suggests that once again the Qualcomm flagship processor will outperform the Samsung’s Exynos chipset. The Samsung Galaxy S21+ Geekbench listing shows it packs 8GB RAM and runs Android 11 OS, which will be skinned with the latest OneUI on top. Unfortunately, the Geekbench listing doesn’t reveal much else about the Samsung Galaxy S21+ at the moment.

According to the recently leaked Galaxy S21 series specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S21+ is said to come with a 6.7-inch LTPS FHD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole design for the selfie camera. It is tipped to pack a larger 4,800mAh battery and may have fast-charging support. The handset will be offered in three colours: Phantom Silver, Phantom Black and Phantom Violet. Connectivity features could include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
