Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra specifications
The entry-level Samsung Galaxy S21 will reportedly feature a 6.2-inch LTPS FHD+ AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz. This seems like a downgrade compared to the Samsung Galaxy S20, which offers a QHD+ display. It features a triple-camera array consisting of a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 12MP wide-angle lens and a 64MP telephoto lens. Lastly, a 4,000mAh battery will power the smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy S21 will come in four colour variants, namely Phantom Voilet, Phantom Pink, Phantom White, and Phantom Gray. Unlike last year, the Samsung Galaxy S21+ is fairly identical to the Galaxy S21. It comes with a larger 6.7-inch LTPS FHD+ AMOLED panel clocked at 120Hz and a bigger 4,800mAh battery. Its camera setup and chipset are identical to that of the Galaxy S21. Samsung will offer the Galaxy 21+ in three colours: Phantom Silver, Phantom Black, and Phantom Violet. Both the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 support Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, and come with an integrated 5G modem.
As expected, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the proverbial king of the hill. Not only will it reportedly come with a huge 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED panel, but it may also be the only smartphone in the series that has a WQHD+ resolution. Furthermore, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will dynamically adjust its 120Hz refresh rate depending on the app being used. The phone will come with four rear cameras; a 108MP ISOCELL HM3 sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom and another telephoto lens with 10X zoom. One of the telephoto lenses is likely to use a periscope design, like the ones we’ve seen on several Huawei flagships. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will run on a massive 5,000mAh battery and come in two colours, Phantom Black and Phantom Silver. Apart from Bluetooth 5.1 and 5G support, the smartphone is also compatible with Wi-Fi 6E, allowing it to operate on a faster 6GHz band with compatible routers. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will also support S Pen inputs, making it the first Galaxy S series device to do so.
While the Samsung Galaxy S21 price is unknown at this point, some estimates have told us that the base Galaxy S21 will start at $800 (Rs 60,000). The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is expected to retail at around $1,300 (Rs 97,000), but that isn’t verified yet. However, the reduced cost is likely a result of Samsung following Apple’s footsteps by removing the charger and earphones out of the smartphone’s retail packaging.
