Redmi has launched its first smartwatch alongside the Redmi Note 9 series, named quite obviously the Redmi Watch. The wearable has a square dial with a button on the right spine for selection, 5 ATM rating (50 meters) for water-resistance, 24-hour heart rate monitor and support for 120 watch faces. The Redmi Watch features 7 sport modes, multifunctional NFC for payments, support for call notifications, SMS and third-party messages. The 230mAh battery is claimed to last up to 7 days on typical use and up to 12 days in long battery life mode.

Redmi Watch price in China is set at RMB 269 (around Rs 3,018) and it comes in Elegant Black, Ink Blue and Ivory White colours. It is available to order and will go on sale in China from December 1st.

Redmi Watch sports a 1.4-inch colour touchscreen display with 320×320 pixels resolution and 323 PPI. It connects via Bluetooth 5.0 and is compatible with Android 5.0+ and iOS 10.0+ devices. The smartwatch supports 7 sport modes: Indoor Running, Outdoor Running, Outdoor Cycling, Indoor Cycling, Swimming, and Freestyle. Sensors onboard include a six-axis sensor, geomagnetic sensor, Ambient light sensor, and heart rate sensor. It has automated heart rate measurement, 24-hour real-time heart rate, sleep detection, steps taken, calories burnt, distance walked, sedentary reminders, alarm reminder and activity records. Redmi Watch measures 41x 35 x 10.9mm and weighs 35 grams. The company hasn’t mentioned if it’ll be available in markets outside of China.
