Redmi K40 series launch is expected soon with rumours suggesting the vanilla model will debut before the end of this year, while the Pro model will release only in the first half of 2021. Recently we’ve come across a leak that claimed the Redmi K40 lineup will have an OLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole design for the selfie camera. Now, in a fresh leak, noted tipster Digital Chat Station claims the upcoming Redmi flagship, which could very well be the Redmi K40 Pro, will offer fast-charging support, though hasn’t mentioned the exact speeds. We can expect it to be faster than the 33W solution on the Redmi K30 Pro. Xiaomi currently offers up to 120W fast-charging on the Mi 10 Ultra.

Redmi K40 Pro

Redmi K40 series specs may include a 120Hz refresh rate, OLED display, and a punch-hole design for the selfie camera. Earlier rumours have suggested the Redmi K40 Pro will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 875 SoC, which is set to debut in December. While the vanilla K40 is tipped to come with Snapdragon 775G SoC that is expected to break covers alongside the flagship Snapdragon 875 chipset and Sony IMX686 sensor. However, there are chances it might come with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC and have 5G connectivity.

The Redmi K40 was recently spotted on MIIT certification with model number M2011K2C and 5G connectivity. However, the listing hasn’t revealed much about the phone, unfortunately. Since both the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro are expected to have 5G connectivity, we can speculate the pricing to be higher than last year and might be available in select markets globally.
