October was a big month for smartphone launches, but the list of phones launched in November was not a short one either. There were tons of new phones launched in November 2020, both globally and in India, given the festive season in most parts of the world. Smartphone brands haven’t yet rested as they brought out around two dozen new smartphone models to consumers across the world in November 2020 and we’re taking a look at some of the most popular ones to have released.

Highly anticipated smartphones like Micromax’s In Note 1 and In 1b and the POCO M3 were released this year. We also saw some powerful upgrades to existing smartphone ranges, including the Redmi Note 9 5G, Realme 7 5G, alongside the interesting OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Edition. Micromax In Note 1 and In 1b

One of the most highly-anticipated phones for November 2020 was from the once-top-ranker Micromax as it finally came out of retirement to unveil its latest smartphones in the Indian market, the Micromax In Note 1 and In 1b. High off the anti-China sentiment, Micromax introduced the Indian consumers to two no-frills smartphones. The In Note 1 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The Micromax In Note 1 price in India starts at Rs 10,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant and Rs 12,499 for the 6GB + 128GB model.

On the other hand, the Micromax In 1b is a neat budget smartphone with a large 6.52-inch HD+ display, a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, dual cameras at the back, and 10W charging. Micromax In 1b price in India is set at Rs 6,999 for the 2GB + 32GB variant and Rs 7,999 for the one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Redmi Note 9 5G series

Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G became the first smartphones in the Redmi Note series with 5G support. Launched in China just a few days ago, the refreshed Redmi Note 9 series makes the two models future-proof and ready for faster network speeds. The specifications have also been upgraded. The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 750G SoC, Adreno 619 GPU, and MIUI 12 out-of-the-box. The Redmi Note 9 5G comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC paired with 8GB RAM and a 48MP triple rear camera setup.

Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G price in China starts from RMB 1299 (approx Rs 14,600), while the Redmi Note 9 5G price starts from RMB 999 (roughly Rs 11,200).

POCO M3

Upgrading its lineup globally, Xiaomi offshoot POCO announced the new POCO M3. The smartphone packs in a massive 6,000mAh battery, alongside specifications like a Snapdragon 662 SoC, 6.53-inch FHD+ display, 48MP triple cameras, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and dual speakers. POCO M3 price is USD 149 (roughly Rs 11,000) for the 4GB + 64GB variant and USD 169 (approx Rs 12,500) for the 4GB + 128GB model.

Realme 7 5G

‘Tis the season of 5G upgrades as Xiaomi rival Realme also upgraded its popular Realme 7 with the latest 5G network capabilities. Launched in European markets, the Realme 7 5G specifications include a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset, a USB Type-C port, and more. The smartphone is priced at EUR 279 (roughly Rs 24,600) for the sole variant that has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Moto G 5G

Moto G 5G launch date in India revealed

Motorola also brought its first budget offering with 5G support in the form of Moto G 5G. It takes on smartphones from Realme and Redmi with specifications that include a Snapdragon 750G chipset, a 6.7-inch Max Vision LTPS display with HDR10 support, and 48MP triple cameras. Moto G 5G price in Europe is EUR 299 (around Rs 26,200), which makes it the most affordable 5G smartphone from the Lenovo-owned brand. Moto G 5G launch in India is set for November 30, 2020.

Moto G9 Power is yet another smartphone that Motorola showcased to the world earlier this month. Launched early in November 2020, Moto G9 Power comes with features including a 6,000mAh battery, 64MP triple cameras, a Snapdragon 662 chipset, and a punch-hole style display. It is priced in the European market at EUR 199 (around Rs 17,500) for the only variant. The smartphone is expected to release in India in December as well.

OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Edition

OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Edition is a limited edition variant of the OnePlus 8T flagship smartphone from the brand. It has been launched in collaboration with the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 RPG action game, to lure in gaming enthusiasts. Inspired by the game, it comes with a large glass camera island on the back panel, alongside prominent Cyberpunk branding at the bottom. It is priced at RMB 3,999 (roughly Rs 44,500) and will go on sale in China from November 11.

Gionee M12, Honor 10X Lite, Nokia 8 V 5G UW, Huawei Nova 8 SE, Vivo S7e 5G, and OPPO K7x 5G were some of the couple dozen smartphones launched in November 2020.
