OPPO A53 mid-range phone debuted in India back in August and it came with Snapdragon 460 SoC, 90Hz display, and triple cameras. Now, it looks like the company is readying a 5G model of the same model, according to a listing on China Mobile. The phone has already bagged TENAA certification with the model number PECM30 and PECT30. Thanks to TENAA and China Mobile listing, key specifications of the OPPO A53 5G model and design have been revealed. The handset is said to be available in China starting from December 1st and it doesn’t look like it will release in India.

Besides the inclusion of 5G support, the latest model will also other hardware upgrades such as the Full HD+ display resolution and a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button. However, the front camera is now an 8MP sensor instead of 16MP and it is placed in the punch-hole cutout at the top-left corner. China Mobile has listed the phone with MediaTek Dimensity 720, 4GB/128GB or 6GB/128GB, and a 4,000mAh battery. Lastly, as for the price, the OPPO A53 5G is said to cost RMB 1,599 (around 17,100) and will be available in three colours: Black, White Purple, Silver Red. It is said to measure 162.2×75.0×7.9mm and weigh 175 grams.

OPPO A53 flaunts a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 1,600 X 720 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, punch-hole, and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 460 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage that is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 10 OS with ColorOS 7.2 custom skin on top. Moving to cameras, the OPPO A53 will have a triple camera setup at the back with a 16MP primary camera and dual 2MP sensors. On the front, there is a 16MP snapper for selfies and video chats. A 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support fuels the phone.
