OnePlus 9 series is rumoured to launch by mid-March 2021, which is ahead of the usual launch timeline. A recent rumour had suggested the lineup may include a total of three models — the vanilla OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and a mysterious third model that is speculated to be the OnePlus 9T or OnePlus Ultra. Now, contradicting the same, Twitter user TechDroider claims there is no third model as tipped earlier and also hinted they will debut in March. The tipster has also leaked the alleged model numbers of the OnePlus 9 (LE2110, LE2117, and LE2119) and OnePlus 9 Pro (LE2120 and LE2127), respectively. The phones are said to be in the testing phase currently and mass production is yet to begin.

According to recent reports, the OnePlus 9 series will come with the all-new 5nm Snapdragon 875 SoC that is expected to launch in December, 144Hz refresh rate, IP68 protection, 65W faster-charging support, and Android 11-based OxygenOS out of the box. While not much can be said about the design, the flagships are said to have a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, an AMOLED panel with display fingerprint sensor and multiple cameras at the back. We can expect the company to offer improved cameras and the Pro model have may faster wireless charging and an IP rating for dust and water-resistance.
Connectivity features could include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging. Unfortunately, not much else is known about the OnePlus 9 series at the moment but we’ll be on the lookout for more information to surface online.
