OnePlus Nord Special Edition variant is set to launch in India on October 14th, the company revealed through the official OnePlus Nord Instagram account as well as Amazon India. This is the first time we are hearing about a special edition variant for the OnePlus Nord, so details surrounding it are slim at the moment. The teaser image posted by the company suggests we might just be getting the OnePlus Nord in a sandstone finish, similar to what we saw with the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition. The Special Edition variant will likely be announced during the OnePlus 8T launch event, which is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM IST on October 14th.

The OnePlus Nord currently comes in Gray Onyx and Blue Marble colour options with a glass back finish. The upcoming OnePlus Nord Special Edition variant could replace the rear glass panel with a sandstone finish or it could be glass in a new limited edition colour option, but we can only speculate at the moment.
The OnePlus Nord Special Edition variant will be arriving in India the same day as the OnePlus 8T flagship smartphone. The OnePlus 8T is confirmed to come with specifications like a 120Hz display and a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. The phone is also rumoured to feature 48MP quad cameras, a wide-angle selfie camera, Snapdragon 865 SoC, and up to 12GB of RAM.
Meanwhile, the more affordable OnePlus Nord features a 6.44-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a corner hole-punch cutout. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The device houses a 4,115mAh battery and supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging. OnePlus Nord features a quad-camera system that includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera.
