OnePlus Buds Z launch has been teased by OnePlus India and the truly wireless earbuds will arrive alongside the OnePlus 8T on October 14th. While the company has not explicitly mentioned the name of the device, it is teasing a new pair of TWS earbuds. The Oneplus Buds Z has been rumoured in the past as an affordable version of the OnePlus Buds. The upcoming earbuds are expected to be IP55 water and dust resistant. The original Buds, to recall, were launched back in July in India with a slightly inferior IPX4 water resistance design. The upcoming TWS earphones may sport a long stem, and silicone ear tips for passive noise cancellation, as teased by the company.

OnePlus Buds Z specifications remain a mystery at the moment. The Buds Z are expected to be cheaper than the original OnePlus Buds, which are selling for Rs 4,990 in the country. To recall, the OnePlus Buds come with 13.4mm dynamic drivers with Environment Noise Cancellation (ENC) and a stem-design that comes with a built-in battery, which is rated to last up to 7 hours on a single charge. The puck-shaped carry case offers an additional 30 hours of usage. The earbuds are IPX4 water-resistant and have a Bluetooth range of 10 meters. The OnePlus Buds support fast-charging- OnePlus says 10-minute charging can deliver 10 hours of music playback.

The OnePlus Buds Z will be launching in India alongside the OnePlus 8T and much has already been revealed about the flagship smartphone. Oneplus 8T specifications confirmed so far include a 120Hz refresh rate, 65W fast charging solution, 4,500mAh battery, and 5G connectivity. The handset is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage onboard. The phone will sport a quad-camera setup comprising of a 48MP primary sensor, 16MP ultra-wide sensor, 5MP macro sensor, and 2MP monochrome sensor. The phone is also tipped to come with a 16MP front-facing camera, which OnePlus has revealed will be a wide-angle lens.
