OnePlus 8 users must be fuming right now seeing the prices of the OnePlus 8T. Here’s a quick recap. The OnePlus 8T price in India starts at Rs 42,999 for the variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The top-end 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs 45,999. In comparison, the older OnePlus 8 is currently available at Rs 44,999 for the same 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 49,999 for the 12GB + 256GB option. While there exists a 6GB + 128GB variant of the OnePlus 8 at Rs 41,999, it’s still a mismatch with the OnePlus 8T.

OnePlus 8 prices in India will be discounted soon

OnePlus 8 will be on sale during the Amazon Great Indian Festival sale that starts tomorrow i.e October 16th. Based on the teasers revealed on the e-commerce platforms, the OnePlus 8 price in India will start from Rs 39,999 for the base 6GB + 128GB model. The 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB will be available for Rs 41,999 and Rs 45,999, respectively. This would make the OnePlus 8 cheaper than the OnePlus 8T by Rs 1,000, which doesn’t seem like a big gap in pricing, but it is a start.

With the launch of the OnePlus 8T, many believe that the OnePlus 8 prices will be dropped permanently at some point to justify buying the phone. It is possible that the new prices on Amazon will be permanent, but will it be enough?
