Micromax In series launch in India is set for November 3rd and the phones are confirmed to come with MediaTek Helio G85 and Helio G35 SoCs. Now, the company has announced it has partnered with MediaTek to design and develop the ‘In’ range of smartphones at its R&D Centre in Bengaluru as a part of the ‘Make-in-India’ initiative. This will accelerate the complete hardware and software development of smartphones in the country. MediaTek says the Helio G-series will enable an impressive gaming experience on mobile devices.

Rahul Sharma, the co-founder of Micromax, said, “Micromax’s R&D in India will use the latest technologies and the advanced MediaTek Helio G series chips, which deliver premium performance and enhanced customer experiences. Software development has always been the strength of the Indian ecosystem and we will leverage that strength in our software design. Special focus on Kernel, Connectivity, Multimedia, and Telephony will provide an enhanced experience of the core Android operating system. Our team will be using these chipsets to develop the upcoming smartphones at our R&D Centre in India.”

Micromax In 1a specifications expected include a 6.5-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, and Android 10 OS. The phone is said to be available in two models: 2GB RAM and 32GB storage and 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The former variant is tipped to sport a 13MP + 2MP dual-camera system, while the 3GB RAM model will have triple cameras that include a 13MP primary sensor, a 5MP secondary camera, and a 2MP sensor. It is also tipped to get a 13MP selfie camera. However, Micromax In 1 specs remain a mystery as of now, but the phone is expected to come with the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC.
