  • Apple removed the charger and earphones with the iPhone 12 series

Apple made a pretty controversial move by removing the charger and earphones from the iPhone 12 series retail box and it seems like this is going to catch on. Samsung could be the next brand to axe the charger and earphones from its next flagship. The Samsung Galaxy S21 series is rumoured to debut globally in January, a month early than the company’s usual launch cycle. According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S21 may not include a charger and earphones within the box package. It remains to be seen how the South Korean company justifies the move if it’s true.

Samsung Galaxy S21 phones may not come with earphones and charger in the box and it will be interesting to see what Samsung says considering it took a dig at Apple for doing the same. Some insiders believe that even if Samsung doesn’t ditch both, it may still remove earphones from the box and ship with just a charger and the device. Samsung at the moment makes customers purchase the 45W adapter if they want faster-charging speeds for their flagships. Either way, it remains to be seen whether the Samsung Galaxy S21 series price will be affected by the move.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 series is said to include the vanilla Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. They’re expected to come with Snapdragon 875 SoC, have 5G connectivity, beefy capacity battery, and improved optics. As for the design, they’re expected to retain the same centre-positioned punch-hole for the selfie camera and a rectangular camera module at the back with up to quad-cameras. We should learn more about the Samsung Galaxy S21 series going forward.
