  • The phone is expected to come with 120Hz display and quad cameras
  • OnePlus 8T launch is expected later this month or early October

OnePlus 8T is rumoured to be in the works with the codename “Kebab” and it looks like we might be getting closer to its launch as the flagship phone has been certified by India’s Bureau of Standard (BIS). The alleged listing, spotted by tipster Sudhanshu, reveals the model number KB2001, which is the same model that was spotted on Geekbench back in July. This model number seemingly belongs to the OnePlus 8T, suggesting its imminent launch in India. While the BIS listing doesn’t reveal much about the OnePlus 8T, we did hear about some specifications in a report not too long ago.

According to the Geekbench listing, the OnePlus 8T (KB2001) will pack 8GB RAM and boot Android 11 OS out of the box. It managed to score 912 points in the single-core and 3288 in the multi-core tests, respectively. While it’s not confirmed, the OnePlus 8T render was recently spotted in OxygenOS 11 beta 4 build, which showed off a similar design as the OnePlus 8 with a flat display, punch-hole cutout at the top-left corner for the selfie camera, and narrow bezels for an immersive viewing experience.

OnePlus 8T is said to come with a 120Hz AMOLED display, but it isn’t clear if the resolution will be Quad HD+ or FHD+. The phone is also said to pack 128GB internal storage. The OnePlus 8T is tipped to feature a quad-camera setup with a new 48MP sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens and a 2MP portrait sensor. The flagship will reportedly include 8K video-recording for the first time on an OnePlus phone. Meanwhile, recent reports claim OnePlus will not be launching the OnePlus 8T Pro model.
