Xiaomi launched the Mi 11 in December, and ever since, there have been rumours and leaks regarding a ‘Lite’ variant. As more leaks became common, the existence of the Mi 11 Lite was all but confirmed. The phone appeared on various certification sites, and even on the Indian IMEI database. Several specifications of the phone have been leaked online as well. However, until now, we had no idea what kind of chipset the phone will use. There were rumours that the Mi 11 Lite 5G is powered by a new Snapdragon 700 series chipset and we now have some new information regarding this.
Mi 11 Lite 5G will come with Snapdragon 765G SoC
As spotted by MySmartPrice, the upcoming Mi 11 Lite 5G has appeared on the Google Play Console. This usually means that the phone’s launch is imminent. The listing on the Play Console has revealed key Mi 11 Lite 5G specifications. For example, the phone is equipped with the Snapdragon 765G chipset, which offers 5G connectivity and mid-range performance.
The Play Console listing also shows that the device in question has 8GB RAM, and is running Android 11 with MIUI 12 on top. The display on the phone will offer FHD+ resolution and a screen density of 440 ppi. Apart from these details, the listing also shows that the phone carries the codename Renoir, and model number M2101K9G. That’s pretty much all that can be gathered from the listing.
Previous reports and rumours suggest that there will also be a 4G variant of the phone, which could be equipped with the Snapdragon 732G processor. Other rumoured specifications include a 120Hz LCD display with punch-hole cutout, a 4,150mAh battery with 33W fast charging, Bluetooth 5.1, and a 64-megapixel triple rear camera setup.
