Samsung has started to roll out the One UI 3.1 software update to the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Note20 series, Galaxy Z Fold 2, and the Galaxy Z Flip smartphones. This OTA update was first available on the Galaxy S21 devices and now brings camera improvements and other features to older devices. The One UI 3.1 update is rolling out to these devices in certain regions now, with a more widespread rollout expected soon. Users will also get new smart features with the latest One UI 3.1 update. This brings the camera performance on the older Galaxy S20 and Note 20 phones on par with the new Galaxy S21 series.

The first new feature to grace the older devices is called Single Take. This is a camera feature that captures multiple stills and video formats at the same time. After taking a Single Take shot, users can now easily edit with the new Object Eraser tool that gets rid of unwanted things in the photo.

The One UI 3.1 update also brings improved touch autofocus and exposure controller to the older Galaxy smartphones. It allows users to easily adjust the focus and exposure by swiping left or right on any part of the screen. Another feature present in the new update is the Multi-mic recording, which lets users record audio from both the device as well as any Bluetooth-connected devices. This will only work when shooting videos in Pro Mode. The update has also improved the Gallery app, which can now organise photos and videos better.

Samsung has also added certain new smart features to the One UI 3.1 update. There’s a new Eye Comfort Shield mode that automatically adjusts the blue light to reduce eye fatigue. The Private Share feature lets you remove the metadata from photos before sharing them, and control who gets to access the content, or for how long it’s available for the receiver. Finally, to improve easy switching of Galaxy Buds Pro, Buds Live, and Buds + earbuds on connected phones, Auto Switch is available with the update.
