iQOO U3 has been launched in China as the latest budget 5G offering by the company. The phone shares similarities with the recently launched Vivo Y52s, including the design and some key specifications. The iQOO U3 has a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera, a square-camera module at the back with dual cameras, a unique gradient design, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The iQOO U3 is priced at RMB 1,498 (around Rs 16,900) 6GB + 128GB storage and RMB 1,698 (approx Rs 19,100) for the 8GB + 128GB model. The company is offering a discount of RMB 50 (around Rs 600) for pre-orders. The phone comes in Black and Glow Blue colour options and is scheduled to go on sale by December 17th.

The iQOO U3 sports a 6.58-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with 1,080 x 2,408 pixels resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch-sampling rate, HDR10 and a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 10-based iQOO UI 1.5 OS custom skin on top. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and it measures 164.15 x 75.35 x 8.4mm and weighs 185.5 grams.

Moving to cameras, the iQOO U3 has a dual-camera setup at the back with a 48MP primary sensor and a 2MP portrait lens. For selfies and video chats, it has an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support. Lastly, Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
