Samsung Galaxy M series currently includes smartphones only, but this will likely change soon. 91mobiles has learned that the company is gearing up to launch the first tablet in the Galaxy M series, called Samsung Galaxy Tab M62. According to a person familiar with the matter, the Samsung Galaxy Tab M62 is in development right now, which means it could launch early next year. There is no word on the Samsung Galaxy Tab M62 specifications at the moment, but we can tell you it will be a compact tablet from what we hear. An earlier report spoke of the Samsung Galaxy M62 but it seems it will be launched as a tablet (or phablet) instead of a smartphone. As per the previous report, this device with model number SM-M625F will come with 256GB storage onboard.

The new Galaxy Tab M series will join the existing Galaxy Tab A series and Tab S series. The company will most likely position the Galaxy Tab M62 below the Galaxy Tab A products in the price ladder, but this is just speculation at the moment.

We expect to hear more about the Samsung Galaxy Tab M62 launch in the days to come. Not only is Samsung planning to launch a tablet in the Galaxy M series, but we also hear that the company is planning to bring back the Galaxy E series as well. We recently revealed live images of the Samsung Galaxy F62, which could actually be called the Galaxy E62 given the model number is SM-E62. This smartphone is expected to launch in India soon as production is already underway. 

In other news, Samsung Galaxy S21 series launch in India is tipped for January 14th while sales will begin from January 29th. The flagship lineup from the brand, including Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. The Samsung Galaxy S21 series specifications are rumoured to include Exynos 2100/ Snapdragon 888 SoC, 120Hz refresh rate screen, 108MP quad rear cameras, 5,000mAh battery, and new ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.
