Redmi K40

Earlier rumours have suggested the Redmi K40 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 875 SoC that is said to be manufactured using the 5nm process and is expected to make its debut in December. As for the vanilla Redmi K40, it is said to ship with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC paired with 5G connectivity and Sony IMX686. However, there are speculations it may arrive with the mid-range Snapdragon 775G SoC that is said to debut alongside the mighty Snapdragon 875 chipset. The Redmi K40 was recently spotted on MIIT certification with model number M2011K2C and 5G connectivity.

Indicating the Redmi K40 series arrival soon, Lu Weibing, the general manager of the Redmi brand, recently said the Redmi K30 Pro will be discontinued. However, the executive hasn’t shared many details about the Redmi K40 series just yet, but we can speculate it should bring significant upgrades over the Redmi K30 series from last year, including design and internal hardware. We should know more details going forward, so stick around.
