  • The lineup is tipped to come with 65W charging support
  • The OPPO Reno 5 series is rumoured to arrive in three models — Reno 5, Reno 5 Plus and Reno 5 Pro Plus.

OPPO Reno 5 series is expected to debut in China soon as the successor to the Reno 4 line-up. Though an exact launch date is a mystery, a new leak courtesy Digital Chat Station has revealed the charging speed and other key details of the phones. The OPPO Reno series is said to arrive with 65W fast-charging support, which is the same as the predecessor. This is interesting considering the company had recently unveiled the 125W charging solution. It’s possible the latter could be limited to OPPO flagships such as the Find series, while the Reno lineup, for now, may stick to the 65W charging speeds.

Furthermore, the OPPO Reno 5 series may come in Starry Dream, Aurora Blue, Moonlight Black, and Star Wish Red colour options. There’s also a leather-back variant in the works as well. Earlier reports revealed there will be a total of three models — Reno 5, Reno 5 Plus, and Reno 5 Pro Plus. The standard model is said to ship with the Snapdragon 775G processor, while the high-end model is said to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor. Both the chipsets are yet to be announced officially.

OPPO K7x phone was recently launched in China. The phone sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with 2,400 X 1,080 pixels resolution, 90.5 screen-to-body ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer. It ships with the MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage. It boots Android 10 with ColorOS 7.2 custom skin on top. Connectivity features could include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging.
