Xiaomi is yet to launch the Mi MIX 3 successor, though the company has unveiled the Mi MIX Alpha concept phone with a 180 percent screen to body ratio. It’s been a year and a half since the Mi MIX 3 5G announcement, but Xiaomi is still silent about the successor. Now, a reliable tipster from China claims that Xiaomi will not launch a new Mi MIX phone this year. It appears that the company might introduce the successor only next year but the hardware details of the phone are in the dark for now.
The tipster further claims that Xiaomi will mass-produce phone with features like an under-display camera, 200W+ fast-charging, and foldable phone with an in-folding design. Xiaomi currently offers 120W fast-charging support on the Mi 10 Ultra and could be working on superior technology. It’s hard to speculate which phones the other technologies will be made available on. We should know more details going forward.
Separately, Xiaomi recently demoed the 80W Mi Wireless charging technology. The new technology is claimed to charge a 4,000mAh battery to 10 percent in 1 minute, 50 percent in eight minutes, and 100 percent in just 19 minutes. The 30W Mi Wireless charging technology is said to charge a similar capacity battery to 50 percent in 25 minutes and 100 percent in 69 minutes. Xiaomi had also announced the 40W wireless charging and debuted 50W technology in August. The latter is a part of Mi 10 Ultra. Xiaomi hasn’t detailed when the new 80W charging solution will be commercially made available.
