Samsung Galaxy M12 launch could take place before the end of the year, going by recent reports. The Galaxy M12 could be rebadged as the Galaxy F12 as they both seem to share similar model numbers. A few days ago, it was reported that the Samsung Galaxy F12 with model number SM-F127G was in the works and that it could be a rebadged Galaxy M-series phone. We now have some Galaxy M12/ Galaxy F12 specifications alongside live images, courtesy of industry sources. Images of the back panel has the SM-M127F/ SM-F127G model number etched on it, which suggests that the smartphone could either be called Samsung Galaxy M12 or Samsung Galaxy F12. We also notice M05 mentioned, so there’s an off-chance that the phone could be launched as Galaxy M05. The device seems to be in development at Samsung’s facility in India.
The Samsung Galaxy M12/ Galaxy F12 live images show a new textured finish at the back with Samsung’s branding at the bottom, a squarish camera module at the top left corner, and a cutout for the LED flash just below. While it’s evident from the images, our sources have reiterated that the module will pack as many as four sensors, though the camera specs remain vague at the moment. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy M11, the Galaxy M12/ F12 will not pack a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The sensor will likely double up as a power button on the side of the frame.
All the ports such as Type-C, headphone jack, and speaker grille, will be at the bottom edge of the phone, while the top edge has room for nothing except for a microphone. Since the Samsung Galaxy M12/F12 is still in development, we don’t know how the smartphone will look from the front. However, our sources claim that the handset will have a 6.7-inch tall punch-hole display. Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy M12/F12 is said to come with a whopping 7,000mAh battery – much like the mid-range Samsung Galaxy M51. Other details such as the Samsung Galaxy M12/ F12 launch timeline, chipset, and software remain a mystery at the moment.
