October started off with a bang with tons of smartphones that were launched globally and in India this past week. Next week is expected to be the biggest one yet with some of the most highly-anticipated phones launching, including the iPhone 12 series, OnePlus 8T, Mi 10T, and Vivo V20. Apple will be unveiling the iPhone 12 series globally while the phones from OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Vivo are set to launch in India. The Mi 10T series and Vivo V20 have already been launched globally with some high-end specifications, so all eyes will be on their India price tags. Meanwhile, much about the iPhone 12 series and OnePlus 8T have been revealed as well.

iPhone 12 series – Launching on October 13th

Apple’s keynote on October 13th will set the launch of the iPhone 12 series. The iPhone 12 series specifications and prices have been leaked several times already and the company is widely believed to launch four models in the lineup – iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. All these modes are expected to feature A14 Bionic chip, iOS 14, OLED screens, 15W wireless charging (20W wired), and 5G connectivity. In optics, the iPhone 12 series is tipped to feature triple rear cameras with LiDAR, up to 5x Optical Zoom, and new deep fusion, night mode, and Smart HDR. iPhone 12 price will reportedly to be the same as the iPhone 11.

Vivo V20 – Launching on October 13th

The Vivo V20 will be making its India debut on October 13th. The vendor claims it will be the first smartphone in the country with an eye-detection feature. The Vivo V20 has already been launched globally with mid-range specifications such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable via microSD card and 64MP triple rear cameras. The handset also sports a 44MP selfie camera on the front, a 4,000mAh battery with supports 33W fast charging, and connectivity options such as 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync. The Vivo V20 is claimed to be the slimmest phone in the segment, measuring in at just 7.38mm in thickness. Vivo V20 price in India is expected to fall under Rs 30,000.

OnePlus 8T – Launching on October 14th

The flagship OnePlus 8T will launch globally and in India on October 14th. The only ‘T’ series phone of this year (that’s right, no OnePlus 8T Pro) is confirmed to rock a 120Hz refresh rate display, punch-hole design, 5G connectivity, 4,500mAh battery, and an impressive 65W fast charging solution. The phone is expected to come with 6.5-inch tall FHD+ screen, Snapdragon 865 SoC, 48MP + 16MP + 5MP + 2MP rear-facing cameras, and 16MP selfie shooter. The phone is likely to come in two variants: 8GB/ 12GB RAM and 128GB/ 256GB storage, and run Android 10-based OxygenOS out of the box. There should be an in-display fingerprint scanner for security. OnePlus 8T price is tipped to be around Rs 51,000 in Europe, but the phone’s India price should be below Rs 50,000.

Mi 10T series – Launching on October 15th

Xiaomi is slated to launch its latest flagship Mi 10T in India on October 15th. The lineup, comprising Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro smartphones was unveiled globally a few days ago with a punch-hole design, Snapdragon 865 SoC, 144Hz display, 5,000mAh battery, 33W charging, and quad rear cameras. The only notable difference between the two smartphones is the primary camera – the Mi 10T packs a 64MP quad-camera setup at the back, whereas the Mi 10T Pro sports a 108MP quad camera setup. Both phones ship with a 20MP sensor in the punch-hole setup. The Mi 10T series price in Europe starts roughly at Rs 43,000.
