OPPO Smart TV S1, Smart TV R1 with up to 65-inch 4K resolution announced

OPPO at the ‘One More Step’ event announced a range of new IoT products, including the much-awaited smart TVs. The OPPO TV S1 and OPPO TV R1 are the company’s first-ever smart TVs and are available in three different models. The OPPO Enco X True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earphones were also announced while the company teased the OPPO Watch RX smartwatch. OPPO says that it will focus on three key application scenarios: Personal Entertainment, Home Appliance and Furnishing, and Sports & Health. It will gradually build up its IoT product lineup around these core areas.

OPPO Smart TV S1 and R1, Enco X and Watch RX specifications

The 65-inch OPPO Smart TV S1 is the flagship model that comes with a 4K QLE display with Quantum Dot wide colour gamut, smoother colour transition and 120Hz refresh rate, and variable refresh rate (VRR) for smoother and natural motion. The OPPO TV S1 is equipped with eighteen stereo surround speakers with a total power of up to 85W, supporting 5.1.2 channels and Dolby Atmos. It has a peak brightness of 1500nits and 20ms low latency.

The TV has support for Dolby Vision, HDR 10, HDR 10+, HLG. It packs 8.5GB RAM and 128GB storage, boots ColorOS TV, a 1080p pop-up camera for video calls and Breeno voice assistant. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, 2 HDMI 2.1, 1 HDMI 2.0 ARC, 2 USB 3.0, 1 optical, 1 Ethernet, and NFC one-key screen projection. The OPPO R1 is available in 55-inch and 65-inch 4K models and are powered by the MediaTek MT9652 SoC with Mali G52 MC GPU, 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. They have two 20W speakers with Dolby Audio.

As for the OPPO Enco X, the TWS earbuds come with Bluetooth 5.2 (LHDC, AAC, SBC) and are compatible with Android and iOS devices. They have an 11mm moving coil unit and 6mm plane diaphragm unit and touch controls for volume, call control, and track change. The earbuds come with dual microphones for active noise cancellation, triple microphones for call noise reduction, 47m Bluetooth low-latency dual transmission. The OPPO Enco X earbuds are IP54 rated for water resistance. The 44mAh battery on each earbud is claimed to offer 5.5 hours of standalone music playback, 4 hours with ANC enabled. The carry case offers 535mAh battery that is said to last up to 24 hours of battery life. It has support for Qi wireless charging.

Lastly, the OPPO Watch RX is the first round dial smartwatch from the company. It runs an updated ColorOS Watch 1.5 with new dials, sports modes, and a variety of apps. OPPO has partnered with League of Legends to roll out three custom products in China: the OPPO Watch League of Legends Limited Edition, OPPO Watch RX League of Legends Limited Edition, and OPPO Find X2 League of Legends Esports: Worlds 2020 Edition.
