Sony WH-1000XM4 specifications

Sony WH-1000XM4 ships with a similar design as the predecessor and is powered by the same QN1 noise-cancelling processor that was present in WH-1000XM3. It has gesture controls on the outer surface of the earcup and supports AAC, SBC, and LDAC Bluetooth codecs. The ‘Speak To Chat’ feature automatically pauses the music when the headphones detect your voice, thereby allowing you to switch between a conversation and music playback seamlessly. The Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones are claimed to last up to 30 hours with active noise cancellation (ANC) on.

Additionally, Sony WH-1000XM4 controls and audio settings can be further tweaked through the Sony Headphones Connect companion app that is available for Android and iOS. The headphones support multi-point connectivity, meaning you can connect them to two different devices simultaneously. There is support for Google Assistant and Alexa for hands-free voice control and Sony’s own 360 Reality Audio format for spatial audio. The headphones are equipped with Sony’s DSEE extreme sound enhancement feature.
