Apple will release stable builds of iOS 14, iPadOS 14, and watchOS 7 to eligible iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watch models, respectively, starting today i.e. September 16th to users around the world. The release comes a day after Apple’s big ‘Time Flies’ event where the company announced the Apple Watch SE, Series 6, iPad Air 2020, and iPad (8th Gen). Along with these new products, Apple will be pushing out the next version of its operating systems, which were first announced at WWDC 2020 back in June.

iOS 14 is a major new update for the iPhone as it brings features like Widgets, App Library, Picture-in-Picture, and an updated Siri interface, among other things. Here’s a list of eligible iPhone models running iOS 13 that will get updated to iOS 14.

List of iOS 14-compatible iPhone models: 

  • iPhone SE 2020
  • iPhone 11
  • iPhone 11 Pro
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone XS Max
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone 8
  • iPhone 8 Plus
  • iPhone 7
  • iPhone 7 Plus
  • iPhone 6s
  • iPhone 6s Plus
  • iPhone SE
  • iPod Touch (7th gen)

watchOS 7 also brings a host of new features, including new watch faces, sleep tracking, automatic handwashing detection, new workout modes, low-range VO2 Max, and more. It’s worth noting that not all of the new features will be available on all Apple Watch models. For example, the new watch faces will not be available on Apple Watch Series 3. Also, note that watchOS 7 installation requires an iPhone 6s or later running on iOS 14.

iPadOS 14 will get most of the features that are coming to iOS 14, including Widgets, App Library, Picture-in-Picture, and an updated Siri interface. In addition to this, iPadOS 14 brings a bunch of new features for the Apple Pencil, including improved handwriting recognition, a scribble feature that can convert handwritten notes into text, and so on.

Moreover, watchOS 7 and iPadOS 14 will be shipping with the new Apple Watch SE, Series 6, iPad Air 2020, and iPad 8 models.
