  • Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max has appeared on the AnTuTu benchmark platform
  • Specifications include A14 Bionic SoC and 6GB RAM
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max will be the first iPhone with 6GB RAM

Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max has seemingly made its way on to the AnTuTu benchmarking platform. Tipster Ice Universe shared screenshots of the iPhone’s AnTuTu performance on Thursday. The screenshot reveals a few key iPhone 12 Pro Max specifications such as 6GB RAM and A14 Bionic. Apple announced the A14 Bionic SoC earlier this week with the iPad Air 4 and will power the upcoming iPhone 12 models as well. The iPhone 12 Pro Max scored 57233 on AnTuTu. The score is higher than last year’s iPhone 11 Pro Max that scored 524436 with 4GB RAM and A13 Bionic SoC.

It looks like the iPhone 12 Pro Max will be the first iPhone with 6GB RAM. The variant will be paired with 128GB internal storage, according to the benchmark listing. The screenshot also shows the iPhone 12 Pro Max on the latest iOS 14.1 software. The 5nm A14 Bionic will offer a bump in CPU and GPU performance compared to the A13 Bionic. However, while the new Apple chipset looks like an improvement over its predecessor, it still doesn’t outscore Android phones powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865/865+ chipset.

Phones like ROG Phone 3 and OnePlus 8 Pro with 12GB RAM and Snapdragon 865+ have scored over 600,000 on AnTuTu. That said, the performance of the iPhone 12 Pro Max on AnTuTu is not indicative of how the phone will perform in real-world usage. We will have to wait for a few months before we can get our hands on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Apple will likely announce the iPhone 12 series next month with sales expected to take place in November.
