Xiaomi’s ‘Smarter Living 2020’ event today so the launch of a handful of new products from the company as it looks to expand its IoT portfolio in India. The brand announced five IoT products as well as the Mi Athleisure Shoes. The Chinese manufacturer launched a few smart home devices and fitness wearables, including its first-ever smartwatch in the country. The Mi Band 5 fitness band and the Mi Watch Revolve smartwatch have been announced alongside the Mi Smart LED Bulb, Mi Smart Speaker, and Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser. Mi Band 5
The Mi Band 5 comes with a 1.1-inch AMOLED touch colour display and features improved sensors compared to its predecessor. The band uses Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity and works with both iOS and Android devices. Xiaomi claims that the band can offer up to 14 days of usage on a single charge, which is actually lower than the Mi Band 4’s claimed battery life. It comes with a new magnetic charging mechanism, offers up to 50M water resistance, and can also be used as a remote shutter for your smartphone camera. It includes 11 new activity-tracking modes for indoor cycling, rowing, yoga, elliptical, and jump rope exercises. The new fitness band also comes with a new mode to track women’s health and menstrual cycle.
Mi Band 5 price in India is set at Rs 2,499 and the fitness tracker will be available for purchase starting October 1st. It will be available on Amazon India, Mi Online store, and Mi Home store.
Mi Watch Revolve
The Mi Watch Revolve comes with a circular display and is more of a smartwatch. It gets a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen that offers a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. The watch has a stainless steel frame, offers Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and a 5ATM water resistance rating. The smartwatch features a heart-rate monitor, sleep tracker, and houses a 420mAh battery. According to Xiaomi, the watch can last up to 14 days on one charge. It runs a custom OS and can track plenty of activities.
Mi Watch Revolve price in India is Rs 9,999, which is an introductory price. The smartwatch will be available in India from October 6th. You can purchase the Mi Watch Revolve from Amazon, Mi.com, Mi retail stores, and Mi Home.
Mi Smart Speaker
Xiaomi also launched the Mi Smart Speaker, which comes with a 12W front-firing speaker. It uses Google Assistant to answer all your queries with the help of the in-built microphones. The speaker is tuned with DTS Sound and uses a Hi-Fi audio chipset by Texas Instrument. It also comes with a built-in Chromecast, two far-field microphones, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a touch panel with controls, and a glowing ring at the top. You can also pair two smart speakers for stereo sound or multi-room setup.
The Mi Smart Speaker price is set at Rs 3,999 but it will be available at a discounted price of Rs 3,499 during the first sale on October 1st. It can be purchased from Flipkart, Mi Home, and Mi online stores.
Mi Smart LED Bulb White
The Mi Smart LED bulb has also been updated and is now smarter, as well as brighter. It comes with a B22 socket and can be controlled via the Mi Home app or voice assistant. The 7.5 W LED bulb has an output of 810 lumens and is priced at Rs 499. It can be purchased from the Mi.com online store.
Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser
Finally, the Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser is now available for purchase in India at a price of Rs 999. The dispenser can hold 300ml of soap, which is good for around 375 hand washes. It can detect your hand in just 1.25 seconds and will dispense soap automatically. It is also available via the Mi.com online store.
